Emory University Internal Funding Sources
The Office of Sponsored Programs
(OSP) has compiled this list of Emory University internal funding sources
for research and teaching projects as a convenience for the Emory research
community. Applicants are encouraged to contact directly the Emory
unit that sponsors the grant competition for current information on deadlines
and proposal guidelines. Proposals to internal grant competitions within
Emory do not need to be routed through OSP.
We welcome additions or corrections
to this list. Please contact Office of Sponsored Programs at 727-2509 or
by email at osp@emory.edu with
comments or corrections. Please Note: These grant opportunities are
available only to faculty and, where noted, students affiliated
with Emory University.

Center for Research on Complementary and
Alternative Medicine in Neurodegenerative Diseases
The Developmental Research Program serves to provide funds for developmental
pilot studies that explore innovative ideas or that establish the methodological
feasibility and strengthen the scientific rationale for proceeding to
trials on the use of CAM. These projects may be collaborative among scientists
within one or more Centers or with scientists outside the Center environment.
Funds will be provided for 1year. The expectation is that successful feasibility
studies will become fully developed projects within the Center, or funded
through other forms of research support (e.g., R01). Please see our web
page for additional information.
Center for Teaching and Curriculum
The Center for Teaching and
Curriculum (CTC), Faculty College Science Council, and Institute for Comparative
and International Studies (ICIS) offer summer stipends for course development
to Emory College faculty members. Calls for proposals generally are issued
in March each year. Refer to the CTC web
page for details.
EmTech
Bio Seed Grant Program
EmTech Biotechnology Development, Inc is inviting proposals from Emory
University and Georgia Institute of Technology faculty for funding under
the EmTech Bio Seed Grant Program. The Program funds research in the biomedical
sciences. Applications from Emory faculty should be routed through OSP
and are due at EmTech by November 21, 2003. Full details may
be found in the program announcement. Also,
