On this site you will find information to help you as you begin to prepare an application for submission to a federal agency through Grants.gov. Much of the material available through this site is specific to the submission of NIH applications via Grants.gov and will not apply to other agencies. However, the general information listed on the electronic application process will apply to all Grants.gov applications.
Grants.gov
Grants.gov is starting to transition to the new Adobe format for application packages. There are specific requirements that must be met and some caveats to keep in mind when using the new Adobe forms. Please see our Adobe forms information page for the latest information on the transition.
For full information on the NIH application process, we recommend that you view the "NIH Grants.gov Implementation" PowerPoint presentation. This contains detailed information on the process for submission, as well as line by line instructions for completing the application package.
While the links and files available on this site contain detailed information on the electronic submission process, we hope the overview listed on the PureEdge and Adobe pages will help you more easily navigate the process.
If, after reviewing the information and materials provided on the Adobe or PureEdge pages or you have questions on Grants.gov or the electronic submission process, please direct your initial inquiries to your departmental administrator or the appropriate contact in your respective school:
The method you use to submit your application will depend on which version of the electronic forms you are using. You will use either the PureEdge version of the forms, or, the Adobe version of the the forms.
